ABOUT ME
Art is for me a way to approach reality and transform it into something wondrous.
I have always dedicated myself to this craft, I learned it with my hands by experimenting the world around me.
I feel attraction for forgotten materials and unconventional supports, maybe this is a consequence of having lived in the countryside during my childhood, a place where I learned to work with what I found on the spot, often giving them a second life.
I love to investigate, play and give other meanings to these objects and materials.
I believe that being an artist is a beautiful and difficult job, where you learn how to deal with frustration, to lose established paradigms, to get it wrong and to find a new opportunity from there.
On the other hand all that makes it a unique experience that I wouldn't change for anything.
Every day I value being a woman artist, older and from the south of the continent.
SOBRE MI
El arte es para mí una forma de acercarme a la realidad y transformarla en algo... maravilloso.
Siempre me he dedicado a este oficio, lo aprendí con mis manos experimentando el mundo que me rodea.
Siento atracción por los materiales olvidados y los soportes no convencionales, quizás sea consecuencia de haber vivido en el campo durante mi infancia, lugar donde aprendí a trabajar con lo que encontraba en el lugar, dándoles muchas veces una segunda vida.
Me encanta investigar, jugar y dar otros significados a estos objetos y materiales.
Creo que ser artista es un trabajo hermoso y difícil, en el que aprendes a lidiar con la frustración, a perder los paradigmas establecidos, a equivocarte y a encontrar una nueva oportunidad a partir de ahí.
Por otro lado todo eso lo convierte en una experiencia única que no cambiaría por nada.
Cada día valoro más ser una mujer artista, mayor y del sur del continente.
